The principle requirement for stacking spiral steel pipes is to stack them according to types and specifications on the premise of ensuring stable stacking and ensuring safety. Materials of different types should be stacked separately to prevent confusion and mutual erosion.
It is prohibited to store items that corrode steel near the stack of spiral steel pipes.
Materials of the same kind are stacked separately according to the order in which they are put into storage. Spiral steel tubes stacked in the open air must have wooden pads or stones underneath.
The bottom of the spiral steel pipe stack should be elevated, strong and neat to prevent the material from getting damp or deformed.
The stacking surface is slightly tilted to facilitate drainage, and attention should be paid to the placement of materials to prevent bending and deformation.
The stacking height of spiral steel pipes shall not exceed 1.2m for manual operation, 1.5m for mechanical operation, and the stack width shall not exceed 2.5m.
There should be a certain channel between stacks. The inspection channel is generally 0.5m. The access channel depends on the size of the material and the transportation machinery, and is generally 1.5~2.0m.
Angle steel and channel steel should be stacked in the open air, that is, the mouth should be facing down. I-beams should be placed upright, and the groove surface of the steel should not be facing upward to avoid water accumulation and rust.
The bottom of the stack should be raised. If the warehouse is on a sunny cement floor, the height should be 0.1m; if it is a mud floor, the height should be 0.2~0.5m. If it is an open-air venue, the cement floor should be padded with a height of 0.3 to 0.5m, and the sand and mud surface should be padded with a height of 0.5 to 0.7m.
